The Cisco Catalyst 2960G-48TC (Part Number WS-C2960G-48-TC-L) is a 48 port Gigabit Switch.  This switch also comes with 4 Dual Purpose uplink ports.  The Dual-Purpose Gigabit uplinks allow the use of either a copper or a fiber uplink; each dual-purpose uplink port has one 10/100/1000 Ethernet port and one Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP)-based Gigabit Ethernet port, with one port active at a time.  The software included is the "IP LAN Base" which is a rich suite of intelligent services, including advanced QoS, rate limiting, ACLs, and IPv6 management.
